Ingredients

  • 2 pear (s), juicy, ripe
  • 30 g iner, fresh
  • 1 piece (s) star anise
  • liter ⅛ white wine, dry
  • 40 g suar
  • 20 g butter

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the pears and cut into eighths.
  2. Peel the ginger and cut into thin slices. Put the wine, star anise, sugar and butter in a small saucepan and bring to the boil.
  3. Bring the pear wedges to the boil in the brew, cool in it and cover and let steep overnight.
  4. The ginger pears go well with chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate mousse as well as with duck breast or Asian-style fish fillets.
