- Chop the onions very small and then alternate with the sugar in a large screw-top jar. Close the jar well and shake well. Let stand overnight, pour off the juice and take in spoonfuls several times a day. If you like, you can partially replace the sugar with rock candy, it tastes better, but it is faster with granulated sugar.
- The juice is rich in vitamins and is said to have an antibacterial and slightly antibiotic effect.
