Ingredients

  • 600 g beans, reen (frozen)
  • 425 g tomato (s), chopped (a small tin)
  • 2 onion (s), diced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 100 g liht feta cheese (e.. salakis)
  • 2 teaspoons tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon pine nuts
  • possibly garlic

Instructions

  1. Let the olive oil get hot in a coated saucepan and fry the onion cubes until translucent. Add the beans and fry a little. Deglaze with the chopped tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, stir in the tomato paste and simmer everything on a low heat until the beans are cooked through. If necessary, add a little water or vegetable stock.
  2. Cut the feta into small cubes and stir into the beans. Simmer until the feta has melted. Stir it again and again.
  3. Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar. Roast the pine nuts fat-free and sprinkle over the served beans.
  4. If you like, you can also fry some garlic with the onions.
