Grilled Sausage Sandwiches

If you have a press grill at home, making hot sandwiches can become a daily routine when preparing breakfast. The sausage and cheese sandwich is one of the tastiest of its kind.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Mortadella or other cooked sausage – 2 slices (60g)
- Sopressata or other salami – 6 slices (60 g)
- Prosciutto ham or other – 4 slices (60g)
- Provolone or Similar Low Fat Hard Cheese – 4 slices (120g)
- Baguette 15 cm long – 2 pcs.
- Extra virgin olive oil – 0.25 cups
- Red wine vinegar – 1 tbsp
- Arugula (washed) – 1 glass
- Canned chili (cut into strips) – 0.25 cups
Directions
- Preheat the press grill to preheat according to the instructions for it.
- Cut the baguettes in half lengthwise. Brush the slices with a mixture of oil and vinegar.
- Put arugula and pepper on the base halves of the baguette.
- Top with boiled water, prosciutto and salami, put cheese slices on the sausage. Cover with half-topped baguettes.
- Place the sandwiches on a press grill, press down with a lid and cook until the cheese melts, about 5-7 minutes (depending on the grill temperature). Serve the sandwiches immediately.
