- 1 kg pork schnitzel, lean
- 2 large onions
- 0.5 ½ bulb / n garlic, amount not specified
- Spice mix (gyros spice)
- Metaxa
- 300 g noodles (Kritharaki, Greek rice noodles
- 2 cans tomato (s) (pizza tomatoes)
- 400 g sheep cheese
- 1 piece (s) chilli pepper (s), red, fresh
- 200 ml sour cream
- 250 ml whipped cream
- Olives, black without stone
- Vegetable broth, instant
- 6 tablespoon olive oil

- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Cut the schnitzel into thin strips, quarter the onion and thinly slice it, peel and finely dice the garlic.
- Put everything in a bowl, sprinkle with 6 tablespoons of gyros spice, pour the olive oil and Metaxa over it as you feel, mix well and let it steep for 12 hours in the refrigerator, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in the rice noodles and pizza tomatoes, season with instant vegetable stock and put everything in a large, flat baking dish.
- Core and finely dice the chilli pepper, cut the olives into small pieces and mix everything with the sheep`s cheese, crushed with a fork. Stir in sour cream and cream, season with gyros seasoning, stir in a dash of Metaxa and spread everything over the casserole.
- Cover the casserole with aluminum foil and cook for approx. 40 minutes, then bake for approx. 25 minutes without foil and then let it stand for 5 minutes in the switched-off oven.
