Ingredients

  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 250 g mozzarella
  • 250 g cream cheese (herbal cream cheese)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 80 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 bunch basil
  • 1 package tomato (s), diced, (500g)
  • 20 cannelloni
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs and mix with the cream cheese. Cut the mozzarella and ham into small cubes. Fold into the cream cheese mixture. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  2. Wash the basil, shake dry and chop the leaves. Peel and dice the onion. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onion cubes in it. Add the chopped tomatoes and simmer for about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and stir in the basil.
  3. When using pre-cooked cannelloni (package instructions), cook them al dente in plenty of salted water. Drain and let cool a little. Then fill with the cheese and ham mixture.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 °.
  5. Grease a baking dish. Place the cannelloni side by side in the mold. Pour the tomato sauce over them and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes. Cannelloni without pre-cooking take about 35-40 minutes.
