Ingredients

  • 600 g apples
  • 6 tablespoon water
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g suar
  • 50 g butter or mararine
  • 100 g quark (low-fat quark)
  • 200 g douh (Hermann)
  • 100 g powdered suar

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into cubes. Bring the apple pieces to the boil with water and simmer over low heat until soft. Stir in the vanilla sugar. Let the compote cool down.
  2. Mix the flour, sugar, butter or margarine, quark and the Herman dough with a kneading dough and knead into a smooth dough. If it sticks, wrap it in foil and put it in the refrigerator.
  3. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out approx. 15 cm squares. Cover one half of each sheet of dough with the apple compote and fold over the second half of the dough. Press down the edges of the dough well. Bake at 180 degrees top and bottom heat for about 20 minutes.
  4. After baking, let it cool down a bit and mix the icing sugar with a little water to add a glaze. Pour this frosting over the apple turnovers.
