Homemade Roast with Chicken

Here I want to tell you how to cook a home-style roast with chicken. This is easier than it sounds. All ingredients are fried and then mixed and stewed! Great option for dinner or lunch.

Servings: 5-6

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 900 Grams
  • Chicken legs – 3-4 Pieces
  • Fatty pork – 150 grams (or the same amount of sausages, bacon, lard)
  • Carrots – 2 Pieces
  • Onion – 1 Piece
  • Bulgarian pepper – 1-2 Pieces
  • Sour cream – 1 Glass
  • Spices – To taste
  • Greens – To taste
  • Water – To taste (if it burns, add to a saucepan)

Directions

  1. Fry onions and carrots in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  2. Now we put them on a plate for a while, and in a frying pan we first fry the legs on all sides over high heat, and then the meat, cut into pieces. Add spices to taste.
  3. Then fry the potatoes in the same pan. Salt to taste. It is not necessary to fry until tender, but the crust should appear on the meat, chicken and potatoes.
  4. Now we shift everything into the pan in layers: onions and carrots from below, then meat and chicken, then potatoes, peppers, herbs and sour cream. Sprinkle each layer with spices to taste. Cover and simmer on the stove or in the oven for about 45 minutes. If anything, add a little water so as not to burn.
