Hot Dog with Pickled Onions

I present to your attention a hot dog recipe that will not get lost against the background of the taste of many of its fellows. The fact is that it has an interesting feature – the addition of pickled onions. This ingredient gives the hot dog a pleasant sourness and piquancy. You should definitely try this recipe!

Ingredients
- Hot dog buns – 8 pcs.
- Sausages – 8 pcs.
- Lettuce leaves – 8 pcs.
- Red onion – 1 pc.
- White onion – 1 pc.
- Pickled cucumbers – 5 pcs.
- Ground dried celery – 1/2 tbsp
- Hot red pepper – 1/2 teaspoon.
- Ground black pepper – to taste
- Apple cider vinegar 6% – 3 tbsp
- Mustard
- Ketchup
- Salt – 1 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 tbsp
How to make a pickled onion hot dog:
Directions
- Cut the onion into half rings, transfer to a pickling container. Add salt, sugar, dried celery, red hot pepper, freshly ground black pepper, and vinegar. Mix well and let marinate for half an hour.
- Cut the pickled cucumbers into slices. We prepare hot dog buns by making a longitudinal cut in them to form a notch for the filling.
- We fry sausages. I highly recommend grilling it.
- Let’s start assembling the hot dog. We take a bun, put a leaf of lettuce and sausage in it. Add ketchup, mustard, pickled cucumbers. Sprinkle the previously cooked pickled onions on top of the hot dog.
- We repeat this procedure with all eight hot dogs and serve them to the table.
