Ingredients
- 2 apples, sweet, crumbly
- 2 fig (s), dried
- 2 tablespoon walnuts, chopped - also roasted possible
- 2 pinches butter
For the sauce:
- 0.5 liter ½ milk 1.5 - 3.5%
- 20 g starch, = 1 tablespoon lihtly heaped
- 1 egg yolk
- 0.5 ½ vanilla pod (s), or vanilla powder
- Sweetener, choice and taste

- Straighten the apples on the stem and flower with one cut.
- Remove the core casing with a cookie cutter.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the peel of the apple very thinly into 4 columns. Not a must, easier to share while eating.
- Shortly cut the fig on the stalk to reveal the soft interior.
- Press chopped walnuts into the inside and fold the fig like a crown cap.
- Put this in the apple and put it in the oven with a pinch of butter on an ovenproof surface.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Custard:
- Beat the cornstarch with 6 tablespoons of milk, the vanilla and the egg yolk.
- Bring the remaining milk to the boil and add the starch. Bring to the boil briefly while stirring quickly. Sweeten slightly with the sweetener of choice.
- Pour the sauce over the apple and sprinkle the rest of the walnuts over the apples.
