Kohlrabi, Fried in Circles

An easy way to cook kohlrabi cabbage is to fry it!

Ingredients

  • Kohlrabi – 400 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Flour – 2 tbsp
  • Bread crumbs – 2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil – 80 g
  • Salt – 0.5-1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Parsley when serving – 1-2 sprigs

Directions

  1. Kohlrabi to clear. Cut the peeled kohlrabi into circles and slices about a centimeter thick.
  2. Boil water, salt (0.5-1 teaspoon), put the cabbage in boiling water. Simmer in a little water, salt to taste, to separate from each other (15 minutes). Drain well.
  3. Beat eggs. Mix flour and breadcrumbs separately. Dip the cabbage slices in beaten raw eggs and then breaded in a mixture of flour and crackers.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan (1 tablespoon). Fry the cabbage in hot fat until golden brown (3-4 minutes over medium heat).
  5. Then turn over and fry for 1-2 minutes on the other side.
  6. So fry all the cabbage, adding 0.5 tablespoon. tablespoons of oil as needed.
  7. Sprinkle the finished mugs with lemon juice.
  8. Hot it is a delicious side dish for meat dishes, cold mixed with mayonnaise and chopped parsley and dill – a spicy cold dish for dinner.
