Ingredients

  • 500 g round beef
  • some water
  • 1 stalk celery, preferably Thai
  • 2 tablespoon coriander, longer
  • 2 tablespoon European grass
  • 2 tablespoon galangal or ginger
  • 2 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoon mint
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoon shallot (s) or Thai blue onions
  • 2 tablespoon spring onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoon garlic, more Thai
  • 2 tablespoon rice (sticky rice), roasted, ground
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce, dose to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef in a pan with a little water until it is cooked through, then turn off the stove. Then add the other ingredients raw and cut into small pieces, mix well and the salad is ready. Serve lukewarm.
  2. It can also be served with rice as a main course or with side dishes such as long green runner beans or cabbage cut into strips, lettuce or spinach.
  3. Tip: Galangal tastes less hot and is more fruity than ginger.
