Lavash Tartlets with Ice Cream, Cornflakes and Honey

Thin lavash baskets filled with vanilla ice cream and cornflakes are very easy to make. Make tartlet baskets from pita bread circles in advance – 10 minutes in the oven is enough for them – and before serving, fill the baskets with ice cream, sprinkle with cornflakes and pour over with honey. An original and quick dessert!

Ingredients

  • Thin lavash – 2 sheets (220 g)
  • Vanilla ice cream – 300 g
  • Corn flakes – 50 g
  • Brown sugar – 50 g
  • Butter – 40 g
  • Liquid honey – 1 tbsp

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Free the lavash from the packaging right before cooking, otherwise it will become tough and dry, and you will not be able to form baskets.
  2. Cut the lavash into squares with a side of about 10 cm. From two sheets I got 12 blank squares.
  3. Trim the corners to create circles.

    Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  4. Melt the butter. Grease each circle of pita bread with butter on both sides. It is convenient to do this with a silicone brush.
  5. Sprinkle the lavash leaves with sugar on both sides. Brown sugar can be replaced with regular white sugar.
  6. Place the circles of pita bread in the muffin tins so that they form indentations. Bake the tartlets in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Pour the cornflakes into a blender bowl and add the remaining sugar.
  8. Grind the flakes in pulses of 2-3 seconds.
  9. The tartlets in the oven have become hard, crispy and golden.
  10. Remove the tartlets from the oven and cool.
    Dessert can be shaped.
  11. Fill the baskets with ice cream, sprinkle with cornflakes and sugar on top.
  12. Pour the liquid honey over the corn chips.
  13. Lavash tartlets with ice cream, cornflakes and honey are ready. You need to prepare such a dessert just before serving.
  14. Crispy basket and corn chips, refreshing ice cream and the sweetness of honey are perfect. And my kids think so too. 🙂
