Lavash with Filling (Homemade Shawarma with Meat and Vegetables)

As a hearty sandwich, prepare this stuffed pita roll with fried meat and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Thin lavash (25-30 cm in diameter) – 4 pcs.
  • Pork (lean) – 150 g
  • Sweet red pepper – 0.25-0.5 pcs.
  • Sweet yellow pepper – 0.25-0.5 pcs.
  • Cucumber – 0.25-0.5 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 50 g
  • Mustard (dry) – 1 pinch
  • Ground red pepper – 1 pinch
  • Fresh dill – 2 branches
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vegetable oil for frying (optional)

Directions

  1. Cut the meat across the fibers, salt and fry on both sides in a preheated pan (without oil).
  2. Cut the fried meat into thin cubes.
  3. Wash the vegetables, cut into strips.
  4. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, hot pepper and dill for the sauce.
  5. Put two cakes (lavash) overlapping, grease with sauce. Then lay out two more tortillas overlapping and grease with sauce again.
  6. Add meat and vegetables.
  7. Wrap the lavash stuffed with an envelope, flatten. Fry homemade shawarma with meat and vegetables in a dry frying pan, under load, on both sides until crisp.
  8. Lavash stuffed with meat and vegetables is ready.
