Liavashi (Sweet Chebureki with Raisins)

Unusual sweet chebureki with raisins will surprise all your guests. These liavashi (not to be confused with lavash) are juicy and sweet. They can be cooked within minutes.

Ingredients

  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Butter – 100 g
  • Flour – 400 g
  • Raisins – 350 g
  • Sugar – 5 tablespoon.

How to cook liavashi (sweet chebureki with raisins):

Directions

  1. Pour the milk into a bowl and beat the chicken eggs.
  2. Stir everything with a whisk.
  3. Melt the butter and, when it cools a bit, combine it with the milk and egg mixture.
  4. Sift the flour.
  5. Knead the dough for the liavashi, cover it with a towel, and leave it for 15 minutes.
  6. Wash the raisins and leave them in a colander so that the excess liquid drains away.
  7. Divide the dough into pieces, and roll each one out thinly with a rolling pin.
  8. Place the raisins and half a teaspoon of sugar on one edge of the rolled out sheet.
  9. Stick the edges together.
  10. Heat a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil in a frying pan. Put the chebureki in and brown them over medium heat.
  11. Put the cooked chebureki on a napkin.
