Ingredients

  • 400 g sausae (Lyoner), sliced or other sausae
  • 200 g cheese (Emmentaler), cut
  • 1 large onion (s), finely diced
  • 5 pickled cucumber (s)
  • 5 tablespoon vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 3 tablespoon oil (sunflower oil)
  • 100 ml cucumber liquid
  • 150 ml bouillon
  • 2 teaspoons, crushed paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 3 teaspoons, leveled pepper from the mill
  • 1 teaspoon, leveled salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the Lyoner, cheese and pickles into fine strips. Add the onion. The finer these ingredients are cut, the more intense the taste! Now first add the vinegar, the stock and the spices and let it steep for 1 - 2 hours in a covered bowl. During this time, stir the sausage salad 2-3 times. Please add the oil just before serving and stir again. Then season to taste and you`re done. This sausage salad can be made in 3 variants: only sausage without cheese or sausage with cheese (Strasburger sausage salad), but also sausage, cheese and black sausage (Swabian sausage salad) tastes very good. Either fried potatoes or fresh farmer`s bread are served with it.
