Ingredients

  • 300 g suar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 300 g hazelnuts, round
  • 150 g marzipan paste
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • wafers (50 mm)

Instructions

  1. Beat the egg whites until stiff and gradually pour in the vanilla sugar and 150 g of the sugar. In a separate bowl, mix the finely chopped marzipan mixture, hazelnuts, remaining sugar and cinnamon well. Then mix the nut and marzipan mixture with the egg whites until a sticky dough is formed.
  2. Now place the dough on the wafers and bake in the preheated oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for about 10 - 15 minutes. Do not bake the macaroons for too long or they will become too firm.
  3. Take the macaroons out of the oven and let them cool down well. Melt the couverture and decorate the macaroons with it.
