Ingredients
- 4 herring fillet (s) (double herring)
- 200 g sour cream or sour cream
- 150 g yourt
- 150 g mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
- 2 apple
- 150 g onion (s)
- 2 pickled cucumber (s)
- 100 g mustard cucumber (s)
- 1 tablespoon capers
- 2 bay leaves
- salt and pepper
- sugar

- Mix the sour cream, yoghurt and mayonnaise with the mustard until smooth. Chop the apples, onions, cucumber and mustard pickles and fold in with the capers. Cut the matjes fillet into bite-sized pieces and fold in as well. Finally add the bay leaves and let everything soak for several hours.
- Season to taste with salt, pepper and sugar before serving. A delicacy with jacket potatoes.
