Meat Baguette Burger

This burger is not made from a traditional bun but from a baguette. Fried steak with vegetables is used for the filling.

Ingredients

  • Beefsteak without ribs (frozen) – 330 g
  • Bulgarian green pepper (cut into strips) – 1 pc.
  • Baguette – 1 pc.
  • Olive oil – 3 tbsp
  • Onions (cut into strips) – 1 pc.
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Mozzarella (sliced) – 90 g

Directions

  1. Cut the baguette into 4 parts and cut each part horizontally in half. Cut the frozen steak into slices across the grain.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pour onions and bell peppers into the pan, cook, stirring occasionally, for 10-15 minutes, until the vegetables are soft.
  3. Move the vegetables to the side of the pan, pour the remaining oil into the free space, heat, and put the chopped steak in it, fry for 4-5 minutes, until brown. Mix the meat with vegetables, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Switch on the oven with grill function for preheating. Distribute the contents of the pan between the four base halves of the baguette, and top with the cheese. Place these open sandwiches under the grill for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese melts. Cover with the remaining 4 baguette halves, press down lightly, and serve immediately.
