Ingredients

  • 200 g minced beef
  • 50 g low-fat quark
  • 1 small onion (s), finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chives, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon chilli pepper (s) (jalapenos), green, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • some olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients well in a bowl with a fork or with your hands. Moisten your hands with cold water and form small meatballs. I get about 6-7 pieces.
  2. Brush a non-stick pan with a thin layer of olive oil and heat. Fry the meatballs until golden brown on both sides.
  3. Taste warm and cold.
  4. I think it`s great as a snack on the go or to take with me to work. Add a salad and you have a delicious low-carbohydrate meal.
  5. Tip:
  6. If you use fresh jalapenos, please use less, they are hotter than pickled ones.
