Ingredients

  • 1 roll, from the day before
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 onion (s), finely diced
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 0.5 ½ bunch parsley, smooth, finely chopped
  • 500 g minced meat, half and half
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ allspice, ground
  • 1 chilli pepper (s), red, halved lengthways, cut into fine strips
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cumin
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch clove powder

For the sauce:

  • 200 g yourt
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 dash olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon dill or
  • chives

Instructions

  1. Soak the roll in the warm milk for 1/2 hour, squeeze it out well and pick it up.
  2. Steam the onion cubes in the hot oil for 5 minutes until they are soft, then let them brown slightly towards the end, add the garlic cubes for 1-2 minutes and stir in the parsley. Mix the mixture with the minced meat and spices. Shape the dough into small meatballs. Grill these on the grill or in a pan (with oil) for 4 minutes on each side.
  3. Yogurt sauce:
  4. Mix all ingredients together and let steep for at least 1 hour.
