Ingredients

  • 1 kg goulash (beef)
  • 100 g bacon, streaky
  • 2 onions)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.5 liter ½ red wine, fruity
  • 3 carnation (s)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, ground
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 pinch (s) cardamom
  • salt
  • pepper
  • possibly meat broth

Instructions

  1. Dice the bacon and leave on a mild heat. Peel and finely chop onions and garlic. Add to the bacon and let it turn to glass while stirring. Add the meat and fry well all over. Pepper and salt. Add the cloves and the wine and cook covered over a mild heat for approx. 90 minutes. Season to taste with lemon juice and the spices.
  2. If the stew has become too thick, add a little meat stock and bring to the boil again. Serve hot.
