Milk Dessert with Jam and Coconut Flakes

by Editorial Staff

Milk dessert with jam and coconut flakes – light, tender, moderately sweet, with hardly noticeable sourness. It is prepared from the simplest foods, without the use of gelatin. Dessert with jam turns out to be very tasty!

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Milk – 500 ml
  • Jam (or fresh / frozen berries) – 100 g
  • Sugar – 70 g
  • Corn starch – 60 g
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vanillin – 1 pinch
  • Coconut flakes – 50 g

Directions

  1. Pour milk into a saucepan (preferably thick-walled). Add starch, sugar, vanillin, and a small pinch of salt to the milk.
  2. Mix everything well.
  3. We put the pan on fire, and, stirring all the time, bring the mixture to thicken. As soon as the mixture thickens to a creamy state, boil for about half a minute and remove the pan from heat.
  4. Grind the cherries with a blender.
  5. Add chopped cherries to the milk mixture.
  6. Stir lightly. Better not to homogeneity, but to get beautiful stains.
  7. Cover any suitable form with cling film and put the hot mixture there.
  8. We also cover the top with a film, let it cool, and put the form in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours until it solidifies completely.
  9. When the mass hardens (becomes like jelly), remove it from the mold.
  10. Cut the dessert into medium cubes.
  11. Roll each cube in coconut flakes.
  12. We spread the milk dessert with jam and coconut flakes on a plate and serve.

Bon Appetit!
