Oatmeal with Spices, Blueberries and Almonds

Porridge made from crushed oat grains will turn out to be much healthier than oatmeal, and tastier. Preparing “real” oatmeal, of course, takes a long time – it is boiled for half an hour. But you can soak it in hot water overnight to get a nutritious and healthy breakfast in a few minutes in the morning. Top your oatmeal with cinnamon, nutmeg, blueberries, and almonds for a great start to your day.

Ingredients

  • Crushed oatmeal – 1 glass of 250 ml (100 g)
  • Water (hot) – 750 ml
  • Milk 1% fat – 120 ml
  • Fructose – 1 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg – 1 pinch
  • Salt – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Blueberries – 70 g
  • Almonds – 50 g

Directions

  1. Pour oatmeal in a saucepan with hot water, cover, and leave in the refrigerator for 12 hours (up to 24 hours).
  2. Then pour milk into the flakes, add salt, fructose, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Cook the oatmeal, stirring occasionally, for 4-6 minutes.
  4. Let the finished oatmeal brew for 5 minutes.
  5. Coarsely chop the almonds, fry in a dry pan for a couple of minutes.
  6. Sprinkle oatmeal with blueberries and almonds and serve.
