  • 200 ml water
  • 200 g suar
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 0.5 g ½ saffron powder
  • 4 clove (s)

Orange Fillets in Saffron Spice Syrup

Instructions

  1. Peel the oranges with a sharp knife and slice or fillet them. Bring the water and sugar to the boil. When the sugar has dissolved, add the spices and simmer for about 5 minutes. Let the syrup cool a little (shouldn`t boil, but be quite warm) and then pour over the oranges. Let it rest for at least an hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Serve with lightly whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
