Oven Potatoes Baked with Sausage

A recipe for potatoes in the oven, which even a novice cook can handle. Baked Potatoes with Sausage is a simple, nutritious, and delicious dish made from available ingredients. A great side dish or a hearty snack!

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 900 g
  • Smoked sausage – 150 g
  • Garlic – 6 cloves
  • Butter – 30 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1-2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 2 pinches (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – 2 pinches (to taste)
  • Fresh dill – 5-10 g (to taste)

Directions

  1. Before cooking potatoes in the oven, baked with sausage, prepare all the necessary ingredients.
  2. Peel the potato tubers and cut into 1.5 cm thick slices.
  3. Place the chopped potatoes in a saucepan and cover with cold water (1 L). Bring the water to a boil over high heat. When the water boils, reduce the heat so that the water boils slightly. Boil the potatoes for 5 minutes and then carefully drain all the liquid.
  4. Peel the cloves of garlic. Peel the smoked sausage and cut it into strips.
  5. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 ° C. Cut a 28×60 cm piece of foil. Keeping the piece intact, place about half of the foil on a baking tray and brush with vegetable oil. Let the rest of the foil lie outside the baking sheet, for now, you will need it later to cover the potatoes.
  6. Place the potato slices on the oiled foil, about 1 cm back from the edges of the foil.
  7. Place whole garlic cloves on top of the potato slices. Season the potatoes with lightly salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Cut the butter into small pieces and place on top of the potatoes and spread the sausage on top.
  9. Cover the potatoes with the free edge of the foil and tuck the edges to make an airtight envelope.
  10. Place the potatoes with sausage in an oven preheated to 180 ° C and bake for 40 minutes. Then, if desired, unfold the foil envelope and place the baking sheet under the grill or on the upper level of the oven for another 7-10 minutes so that the sausage and potatoes are slightly browned and acquire a thin crispy crust.
  11. Finely chop the dill greens. Remove the baked sausage potatoes from the oven and sprinkle with chopped dill.
  12. Serve the potatoes with sausage right after cooking.
