Ingredients

  • 1 kg vegetables (Pak - Choi)
  • 1 onion (s), cut into small pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 4 medium potato (s)
  • some vegetable broth or meat broth
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • Flour
  • olive oil
  • Nutmeg, grated
  • Coriander, fresh or ground
  • some Milk
  • some sour cream
  • possibly parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Tear the pak choi apart, cut off the hard end of the stalk, wash well and cut into strips. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Lightly sweat the onion and garlic in the oil in a saucepan (should not brown), add the pak choi and stir. Add the potato cubes, season with the spices (except for the coriander) and add a little broth. Cook until the potato cubes are tender.
  2. Prepare a kind of bechamel sauce from butter, flour, milk and finally sour cream. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and stir into the vegetables.
  3. At the end, season with coriander (fresh or powder), sprinkle with chopped parsley if necessary.
  4. This vegetable tastes very good with pan-fried pork chops, sausages or as a stand-alone dish.
