Pepper Stuffed with Sausage and Cheese

An original cold appetizer made from bell peppers and tomatoes, which is not at all difficult to prepare. The vegetables for this recipe are stuffed with smoked sausage, hard cheese and butter.

Ingredients

  • Tomato (ripe but firm) – 1 pc.
  • Sweet pepper – 1 pc.
  • Green onions – 1 bunch
  • Butter (room temperature) – 75 g
  • Smoked sausage – 100 g
  • Hard cheese – 75 g

Directions

  1. Prepare cold appetizer products from bell peppers and tomatoes with sausage and cheese.
  2. Cut off the top of the pepper and remove the center.
  3. Do the same with the tomato.
  4. Cut the sausage into small cubes.
  5. Chop the onion into rings.
  6. Put everything in a bowl and add butter there.
  7. Stir the filling well with a spoon so that the butter envelops each bite.
  8. Grate the cheese finely.
  9. Add it to the filling. Mix everything.
  10. Stuff the vegetables, tamping the filling tightly. Put the filled pepper and tomato in the refrigerator to harden the oil.
  11. After 2.5 hours, cut the vegetable “medallions” into slices.
  12. A bright and tasty appetizer of peppers and tomatoes will decorate not only a home celebration. Stuffed vegetables, packed in foil and not yet cut into slices, will perfectly tolerate the road and keep cool to decorate a country picnic. Bon appetit!
