Ingredients
- 2 carrot (s), grated
- 2 onion (s), finely diced
- 50 ml oil, tasteless
- 300 g beef, and / or pork, and / or chicken
- 250 g rice
- Water, hot
- salt and pepper
- saffron

- Remove impurities from the meat and cut into small cubes.
- Steam the carrots and onions in a saucepan until translucent. Add the meat and roast a little, then add the rice and oil to the pan and roast a little. Don`t be alarmed by the amount of oil, the dish mustn`t be too dry, after all it consists only of meat and rice. Season with salt and pepper and add a little saffron for the color if necessary. Pour hot water over the rice until it is about two fingers wide, do not mix! Put the lid on and simmer on the lowest heat for 35 minutes. Preferably do not open the pot in between. Finally mix everything well.
- You get such a simple but delicious rice dish without any bells and whistles.
