Plum Jelly

An unusual way to prepare plums for the winter is to make plum jelly.

Cook: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • Plum – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 1.2 kg
  • Water – 2 glasses

How to make plum jelly for the winter:

Directions

  1. Wash the plum and cut it into halves. Remove pits. Place the plum in a cooking bowl and add water. Heat over low heat until the plum is completely softened.
  2. Rub through a sieve.
  3. Put sugar in the resulting puree, mix, bring to a boil and cook over high heat until tender, no more than 20-30 minutes.
  4. The readiness of the jelly can be determined on a cold saucer: if a drop of jelly does not blur on it and quickly solidifies, then the jelly is ready.
  5. Pour the ready-made plum jelly hot and immediately seal it tightly.
