Ingredients

  • 3 steak (s) (pork neck)
  • 3 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons mustard
  • oregano
  • pepper from the grinder
  • salt
  • 3 teaspoons mustard
  • 2 large onions
  • 150 g cheese (Emmentaler or Gouda)
  • 30 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steaks the day before: Mix the soy sauce, mustard, oregano, pepper and salt together and brush the steaks with it.
  2. Lay the neck steaks flat in an ovenproof dish. Brush with a lot of mustard and put in the fridge for another 2 hours.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into fine rings, spread over the meat. Grate the cheese, mix with the breadcrumbs and spread over the meat covered with the onion rings. Cover the whole thing with aluminum foil.
  4. Cook in a preheated oven at 180 ยฐ C (top / bottom heat: 200 ยฐ C) for approx. 90 minutes. Remove the aluminum foil for a nice crust in the last 20 minutes. Serve hot.
