Pork Ribs with Potatoes in a Slow Cooker

A delicious dish for meat lovers – pork ribs with potatoes, cooked in a slow cooker. The multicooker is a good helper in the kitchen; you can immediately cook both meat and a side dish in it.

Ingredients

  • Pork ribs – 8 pcs.
  • Potatoes – 5 pcs.
  • Bulb onions – 1 pc.
  • Bay leaf – 1 pc.
  • Curry – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Let’s take the products necessary for cooking. I have a slow cooker with a small 1-liter bowl, so I cooked 8 small ribs and potatoes for a side dish in it.
  2. Cut the ribs with a knife into 8 equal parts, wash and dry.
  3. Peel the onion and cut it into rings. We fry the large onion rings and use them to decorate the dish, and cut the inner small rings into small cubes and fry them together with the ribs.
  4. Turn on the “Fry” mode or the “Baking” mode in the multicooker. If there is no “Frying” mode, pour vegetable oil into the bowl, wait until it heats up, and fry the onion rings in it until golden brown, trying not to damage them.
  5. Then carefully take the onion out of the multicooker bowl, put the ribs into it, and begin to fry until a beautiful ruddy color.
  6. While the ribs are fried, peel the potatoes and cut them into halves.
  7. When the ribs are almost fried, add finely chopped onions to them and continue to fry for another 5 minutes.
  8. Then add curry, salt, and bay leaves. Pour warm water into the bowl over the ribs so that it only slightly covers them.
  9. Place the steaming container on top and put the potatoes in it. Salt it a little. We close the lid of the multicooker, set the “Steam cooking” mode and the time “40 minutes”. Thus, our ribs in a slow cooker will reach full readiness and potatoes will be cooked.
  10. After the time has passed, open the lid, the potatoes will be completely soft.
  11. We remove the container with potatoes, the ribs are also completely ready, the meat is tender and soft.
  12. We immediately serve hot pork ribs with potatoes and golden rings of fried onions.
