Potato Bombs with Cheese and Bacon

Mashed potato balls, stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon and deep-fried, it’s delicious and incredibly quick and easy! Potato bombs will steal your heart forever! Be sure to cook!

Ingredients
- For puree:
- Potatoes – 600-700 g
- Butter – 3-4 tbsp
- Milk – 3-4 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Seasonings (optional) – to taste
* - Hard cheese – 100 g
- Bacon – 300 g
- Chicken eggs – 2-3 pcs.
- Breadcrumbs
- Flour for breading
- Vegetable oil – for deep fat
Directions
- First of all, boil the potatoes in salted water until cooked and mashed them. Add butter, just a little milk, salt and your favorite seasonings to the puree. I added red chilli and my bombs were spicy.
- The puree must be well cooled, and at this time, cut the hard cheese into large cubes.
- Make a chatterbox out of eggs.
- Once the mashed potatoes have cooled, you can shape them into bomb balls. This is done with hands, of course clean. Put a cube of cheese in the middle of the potato “bomb”. Make as many “bombs” in this way as you have enough mashed potatoes and cheese.
- Next, wrap each potato ball with cheese in two thin slices of bacon. Unfortunately, I ran out of bacon treacherously. Some of the balls were left without bacon, but they also turned out to be quite tasty. But bacon tastes better!
- Now roll the potato balls in bacon in flour, dip in beaten eggs and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Deep-fry the potato balls with cheese and bacon until they are golden brown and crispy!
