Potato Roll

It is not for nothing that potatoes are called the second bread, because they are just as hearty and nutritious, and the dishes from it are incredibly tasty, and this simple recipe for potato roll is an excellent proof of this.

Servings: 4-5

Ingredients

  • Potatoes – 8-10 Pieces
  • Egg – 4 Pieces
  • Onions – 2 Pieces
  • Flour – 2 Art. spoons
  • Vegetable oil – 1 teaspoon (+ for frying onions)
  • Ground black pepper – To taste
  • Salt – To taste

Directions

  1. To begin with, we need to boil potatoes (in uniforms) until fully cooked, the water needs to be salted. After the potatoes are cooked, we give it time to cool a little, and peel the potatoes.
  2. Next, we chop the onions and fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  3. Hard-boiled chicken eggs, peel and cut them into small cubes.
  4. Knead the boiled potatoes to a puree consistency, add flour and a teaspoon of vegetable oil to it, mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
  5. Now we need to roll out the potato dough into a thin layer, this can be done on a floured table or using cling film. In a separate bowl, mix the fried onion and egg, salt and pepper the filling, spread it evenly on the potato layer.
  6. Gently roll up the potato layer with the filling with a roll and put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, sprinkle the roll with flour on all sides.
  7. We put a baking sheet in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake a roll for half an hour.
  8. The finished dish can be eaten both hot and cold, as you like.
