Ingredients

  • 2 ½ kg potato (s)
  • 2 small onions
  • 0.5 ½ apple, e.g., Boskoop
  • 6 pickled cucumber (s)
  • 150 g Black Forest ham
  • 1 glass salad cream (Miracel Whip)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes (I prefer the Allians variety). They shouldn`t be too soft so that they don`t disintegrate later when you stir them. Let cool thoroughly and cut into cubes.
  2. Cut the onions, the apple and the pickles very finely and put them in a large bowl. If necessary, remove the fat from the Black Forest ham, also dice and add to the bowl. Stir, add salt and pepper. Add the Miracel Whip and stir.
  3. Only now add the potatoes and stir thoroughly. Season to taste and, if necessary, add seasoning.
  4. Now the potato salad should ideally steep for 2 hours. It is important to then season again with salt and pepper and add any salad sauce that you may have absorbed so that the salad is not too dry.
