Potato Waffles with Cheese

Breakfast in an electric waffle iron – savory and very tasty potato-cheese waffles.

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • Milk – 250 ml
  • Flour – 100 g
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh (or dried) thyme – to taste
  • Vegetable oil – for lubricating the waffle iron

Directions

  1. Cook potatoes. While the potatoes are hot, knead them in mashed potatoes in any convenient way.
  2. Rub the cheese on a fine grater and send it to mashed potatoes.
  3. Here we add thyme leaves, an egg, salt (carefully, because the cheese is very salty), black pepper, and milk. Mix well.
  4. Add flour in parts. Mix everything well. Let the potato waffle dough stand for 10 minutes.
  5. During this time, the waffle iron will warm up well. The surface of my home appliances is non-stick, but potatoes love oil, so we grease the surface with vegetable oil.
    Put potato dough on the heated surface of the waffle iron, 1.5 tablespoon each. spoons for each waffle.
  6. We bake potato waffles with cheese for about 4 minutes, just right for me. You focus on your technique.
  7. The waffles are ready!
