Potatoes Baked with Tomatoes and Basil

Cook potatoes in the oven in a new way – with tomatoes, basil, onions, and garlic. Simple, but incredibly delicious! Such an interesting side dish will be a great addition to meat or fish.
Ingredients
- Potatoes – 5-6 pcs. (600 g)
- Tomatoes – 2-3 pcs.
- Bulb onions – 1-2 pcs.
- Garlic – 1-2 cloves
- Basil greens – 3 sprigs
- Vegetable oil – 2-3 tbsp
- Coarse salt – to taste
- Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
- We prepare products.
- Peel the potatoes and chop them into thin slices using a vegetable grater-slicer.
- Peel the onion and cut it into quarters of rings.
- Peel and chop the garlic arbitrarily, but not very finely.
- Put potatoes, onions, and garlic in a bowl. Coarsely chop the basil leaves and add to a bowl. Pour in salt and pour in vegetable oil. We mix.
- Put half the potatoes with onions, garlic, and basil on the bottom of the baking dish. We level.
- Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
- Place the tomatoes on top of the potato layer. Pepper on top.
- Put the rest of the potato mass on the tomatoes. We put it in a cold oven (since I have a glass mold) and set the temperature to 180 degrees. The potatoes will bake for 60 minutes. Be sure to cover the potato dish with foil after 40 minutes to avoid drying out.
- The result should be a very tender potato with onions, garlic, and tomatoes.
- We layout the baked potatoes with tomatoes and basil on portioned plates.
