Ingredients

  • 2 packs puff pastry (roll, from the refrigerated shelf)
  • 1 ½ pack ladyfingers
  • 1 kg apples, (prepared and weighed)
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • some ground cinnamon
  • 50 g flaked almonds
  • 50 g raisins, (rum raisins)
  • 250 ml sour cream
  • 250 ml whipped cream
  • 1 egg (s), for brushing
  • some powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Grease a deep baking sheet (drip pan).
  2. Roll out a puff pastry roll to the size of a baking sheet and place on the baking sheet.
  3. Cover the puff pastry tightly with the ladyfingers.
  4. Peel the apples, quarter or eighth depending on the size, cut out the core and cut into slices. Mix with sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, flaked almonds and raisins and distribute evenly on the ladyfingers.
  5. Mix the sour cream and liquid whipped cream together and pour over it.
  6. Roll out the second puff pastry roll to the size of a baking sheet and cover the apples with it.
  7. Prick the puff pastry sheet several times with a fork and then brush with the bubbled egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes.
  9. Then dust with powdered sugar.
  10. The apple slices can be served warm or cold.
  11. Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream tastes very good with it.
