Pumpkin Baked in Bacon

In the midst of the fall season, I suggest you choose a fragrant pumpkin, cut it into slices, sprinkle with paprika, dried thyme, garlic and onions, then wrap with bacon slices and bake. It turns out just incomparable! Delicate pumpkin pulp and crispy bacon on top.

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin – 400 g
  • Cooked-smoked bacon – 100 g (4 slices)
  • Dried thyme – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Ground sweet paprika – 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Ground dried garlic – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • Dried ground onion – 0.25 teaspoon (to taste)
  • A pinch of salt (to taste)
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch (to taste)

Directions

  1. Prepare all products according to the list. Turn on the oven immediately to heat up to 180 degrees.
  2. Peel, rinse and chop the pumpkin. I cut into 4 large pieces, you can cut into smaller pieces (focus on the number of bacon slices).
  3. Sprinkle pumpkin pieces generously on both sides with seasonings (dried thyme, paprika, dried garlic and onions, salt and ground pepper).
  4. Then wrap each piece of pumpkin with boiled-smoked bacon.
  5. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with foil and place the pumpkin there.
  6. Send the pumpkin in bacon to an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 25-30 minutes, until tender (if the pumpkin is easily pierced with a wooden skewer, then it is ready).
  7. Transfer the finished pumpkin baked in bacon to a plate and serve, you can with sour cream or any other sauce
