Instructions

1. We peel the cucumbers so that stripes of the peel are always visible.
2. At the beginning and at the end of the cucumber we cut off both end pieces (we can use one as a hat), then a total of 5 thin slices are cut from each cucumber (4 wheels and the steering wheel)
3. A knife is used to cut a small indentation from each cucumber. Either the egg or the tomato comes in there. Decorate the tomato or egg with a small tail of the cucumber (as a hat).
4. Place a slice of cucumber on a wooden toothpick and place it at an angle in front of the egg or tomato as a steering wheel. Attach 4 cucumber slices to each side as wheels with the wooden toothpicks.
5. The egg or tomato is given arms with wooden toothpicks that reach to the steering wheel. The egg gets 2 eyes with the cloves and a mouth with a small piece of tomato. With the egg racer, we put half a tomato on top of the cucumber in the front and back.
