Real Italian Focaccia

This is a recipe for real Italian focaccia. This tortilla is made with flour, water, sugar, yeast, and olive oil.

Ingredients

  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Dry yeast, instant – 2 1/4 teaspoon.
  • Warm water – 1/3 cup
  • Wheat flour, premium – 2 glasses
  • Olive oil of the first cold pressing – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Pour sugar and yeast into warm water. Stir until the yeast is completely dissolved. In a food processor or other large bowl, combine flour and liquid. Stir the dough until smooth, for about 1-2 minutes.
  2. Form the dough into a ball, cover the bowl with cling film, and place in a warm place for 30-40 minutes (the dough should double in size).
  3. Turn on the oven to preheat to 240 degrees. Put the dough on a floured surface, knead it slightly and roll it out with a rolling pin into a layer about 25×28 cm in size. Put the layer on an oiled baking sheet, sprinkle with salt, and place in a preheated oven. Bake the focaccia until golden brown, for 10-15 minutes.
