Ingredients

  • Red onion – 360 g
  • Natural honey – 2 tbsp
  • Vinegar 9% – 2 tbsp
  • Ground sumac – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

Directions

  1. Peel and cut the red onion into half rings.
  2. Place the onion in a bowl.
  3. Add salt, black pepper, sumac, vinegar and natural honey to the onion. Mix thoroughly and gently. You do not need to squeeze the onion.
  4. Cover the honey marinade with spices onion with cling film or lid. Leave on for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  5. Serve pickled onions with kebabs or grilled dishes.
