Ingredients

  • 700 g Brussels sprouts
  • some butter
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 180 g crème fraîche
  • 50 ml cream or milk
  • 75 g cranberry compote
  • Salt and pepper
  • 100 g cheese, Appenzeller, or mountain cheese as an alternative
  • 75 g walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Clean the Brussels sprouts and cook in salted water until they are firm to the bite.
  3. Grease ovenproof shapes with a little butter.
  4. For the topping, mix eggs with crème fraîche, cream or milk and cranberry compote and season.
  5. Spread the Brussels sprouts in the molds, chop the walnuts and fold in. Spread the topping on the Brussels sprouts.
  6. Grate the cheese and spread it on the gratin.
  7. Then bake in the oven for about 20 minutes.
