Ingredients

  • 160 g brown rice, = 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 320 g water, = 2 cups
  • 250 g carrot (s), finely rated
  • 150 g chicory, cut into small pieces
  • 100 g cheese, (oat cheese) finely rated
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pinch (s) sugar
  • 20 grains pepper, ground in a mortar
  • 100 g buckwheat, rind to thicken
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

  1. After rice has been cooked with turmeric, mixed together with all the other ingredients, up to and including buckwheat, approx. 8 patties have been formed with wet hands, these are fried golden brown on both sides in the hot fat over reduced heat. Attention! the dough is very soft, even when turning the patties over.
  2. They are nice and juicy and taste warm and cold.
  3. Brown rice takes around 35 minutes to cook and around 10 minutes to soak.
  4. Depending on the size of the frying pan, if you can fry 2 x 4, approx. 2 x 5-8 min.
