Roll “Golden” with Pumpkin

They brought a pumpkin. Huge. What to do with it? I baked a roll with pumpkin. The recipe is ordinary, tasty, healthy.

Ingredients

For the dough:

  • Flour – 3-4 cups
  • Salt – 1.5 teaspoon
  • Water – 1 glass
  • Butter – 100 g

For filling:

  • Pumpkin – 1 kg
  • Sugar – 6-8 tbsp
  • Ground pepper (optional) – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Butter – 50 g

Directions

  1. Sift the flour. Melt the butter (it should be warm). Add salt, butter, and water to the flour. Knead a soft dough. Cover the dough with a towel and leave for 20 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, wash, peel and coarsely grate the pumpkin
  3. Turn on the oven. Melt the butter to grease the dough. Take a fist-sized piece of dough. Adding flour, roll it into a thin layer, like on dumplings. Grease with butter. Lay out a layer of pumpkin (if the pumpkin is juicy, then it is better to squeeze out the excess moisture).
  4. Sprinkle a layer of pumpkin with sugar (1-2 tablespoons) and lightly sprinkle with pepper if desired (1 pinch).
  5. Roll up the pumpkin roll. Pinch the edges carefully.
  6. Grease a baking sheet with oil. Place the pumpkin roll on a baking sheet. So make all the rolls. Top the rolls with beaten egg or melted butter.
  7. Place the baking sheet on the middle shelf in the oven. Bake the pumpkin rolls for 40-50 minutes at a temperature of 170-180 degrees, until golden brown.
  8. Remove the hot pumpkin rolls from the baking sheet. Let cool slightly. Cut the pumpkin rolls into pieces.
