Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • 3 large carrot (s)
  • 175 ml milk
  • 1 glass black salsify (s)
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 bag cheese, grated
  • Pinch (s) salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the potatoes and carrots.
  2. Bring the potatoes with the milk, cream, garlic clove (mashed) a pinch of salt, pepper and nutmeg to the boil in a saucepan until a creamy consistency is formed. Cook the carrots in salted water until soft. Bring black salsify to a boil in a saucepan.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Then sauté in a pan with sugar and garlic. The sugar makes the onion caramelize and it is then slightly sweet. Add minced meat and let it fry.
  4. When everything is ready, drain the carrots and salsify. Put the potatoes with sauce in a baking dish, then layer them to taste. Carrots, minced meat (without sauce, otherwise as oily as in the picture) black salsify. Cover everything with the cheese and place in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
  5. Let cool down a bit and then enjoy your meal!
