Sandwiches with Sprats, Cucumber, Eggs and Cheese (on Black Bread)

Not a single festive table is complete without cold snacks. I propose a simple and quick recipe for snack sandwiches with sprats, eggs, and cheese on black bread. The sandwiches are hearty and tasty. Aromatic smoked sprats and juicy fresh cucumbers complement each other perfectly.

Ingredients

  • Sprats – 1 can (160 g)
  • Black bread (rye with malt) – 1/2 loaf
  • Chicken eggs – 2 pcs.
    or quail eggs – 4 pcs.
  • Fresh cucumber – 1 pc.
  • Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
  • Dill greens – 2-3 branches
  • Parsley greens – 2-3 sprigs
  • Hard cheese – 150 g
  • A mixture of ground peppers (optional) – to taste
  • Lemon juice (optional) – to taste

Directions

  1. We prepare products.
    We take black rye bread with malt (Borodino or custard). It is convenient to take already sliced ​​bread.
    To make your sandwiches tasty, use only high-quality sprats.
    Fresh cucumber can be substituted for pickled cucumber or olives.
  2. Boil chicken or quail eggs hard-boiled. Chicken eggs are boiled for 7 minutes after boiling. Quail eggs must be boiled for 5 minutes after boiling.
    Cool the boiled eggs in cold water, peel and cut into slices. Quail eggs can be cut into four wedges.
  3. Rinse and dry the fresh cucumber. First, cut the cucumber into circles. Then we cut each circle of cucumber in half.
  4. Rub the hard cheese on a coarse grater.
  5. If your bread is not sliced, then cut the loaf into thin slices. We cut each slice of bread diagonally into two parts to make triangles.
  6. Grease slices of bread with mayonnaise (preferably homemade).
  7. Then put one large or two small fish on each slice of bread with mayonnaise.
  8. Cut the chicken egg circles, if they are large, in half.
    Next to the sprats on bread, layout an egg slice and two cucumber slices.
  9. Sprinkle the top with sandwiches with sprats, fresh cucumber, and grated cheese egg.
  10. We decorate sandwiches with sprats, eggs and dill, and parsley.
  11. We immediately serve the appetizer to the table.
  12. Sandwiches with sprats on black bread, if desired, can be sprinkled with a mixture of ground peppers and poured with lemon juice.
