Ingredients

  • 400 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions)
  • 80 g bacon, smoked
  • 850 g sauerkraut
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ caraway seeds
  • 1 kg potato (s)
  • milk
  • 425 g tomato (s), peeled, from the can
  • 100 g cream
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 2 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
  • Margarine or butter
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes, boil them in salted water for 20 minutes and mash them with milk. Dice the onions and fry them with the meat in a little fat. Remove. Leave out the bacon and fry the sauerkraut with the caraway seeds in it.
  2. Layer the cabbage and minced meat in a baking dish. Puree the tomatoes, stir in the cream, eggs, salt, pepper and paprika and pour over the meat. Spread on the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and put on flakes of fat. Bake at 175 ° C (electric stove) for 45 minutes.
