Ingredients

  • 1 savoy cabbage
  • 1 large onion (s) or vegetable onion
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 can tomato (s), peeled
  • some vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar
  • some stalks thyme, or rubbed
  • some butter or margarine or oil
  • a bit salt

Instructions

  1. The onion is cut into large pieces and fried in the fat in a large saucepan. In the meantime, quarter the cabbage head, wash and cut into strips. Add to the fried onion cubes. Add the pressed garlic clove and the peeled tomatoes. Top up with a little vegetable stock and add a little more salt. Now add the 2 tablespoons of vinegar and the thyme. Let it simmer until the savoy cabbage is soft (it depends on the amount of savoy cabbage).
  2. Usually this takes about 15-20 minutes for a medium-sized head.
