Ingredients

  • 4 pork schnitzel, shredded (or chicken schnitzel)
  • 1 onion (s), chopped
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup milk (same amount as cream)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can mushrooms sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • Sauce thickener for light sauce
  • 1 pack rolls (crack-and-bake Sunday rolls, 6 pieces)

Instructions

  1. Fry the cutlet pieces and onions. Season with salt and pepper vigorously. Add the mushrooms without liquid. Add the cream, milk and sour cream, bring to the boil briefly. Thicken with the sauce thickener (you can also make a roux). Put everything in a high baking dish and place the uncooked bread rolls on top.
  2. Then bake the whole thing in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.
  3. Danger! baking doesn`t make the sauce much thicker! So really thicken enough beforehand. Tastes heavenly!
